The Los Angeles District decided to use moodle for training of its staff. They felt that moodle was a solid, open-source program, which only costs for hosting and so it would be the best way to provide an inexpensive but reliable training system. The LACCD decided to roll it out to all of the colleges and each college now has a moodle site.<br />The hosting service (where the actual computers are located that run our moodle classes) are in Mclen,Virginia and hosted by Remote-Learner.net - whose data center is a tier-one facility, located in a building that provides well above OC-48 (2.5 gigabits per second) fiber-optic connectivity from MCI and other worldwide backbone providers. Customers in most parts of the world will experience fast Internet connectivity. This ensures that moodle is never down so our students can work 24/7/365 on their online classes. You are currently enrolled in the moodle class for a class you have not formally registered for at Mission College.<br />It is possible that you were just looking at the class because you were interested, or possibly joined moodle thinking that by doing so it created a formal registration for the class. It does not.<br /><span style="font-weight:bold;color:green;background-color:#cfc;">There are two systems. First the school system - in which a student first enrolls at Mission College - see http://lamission.edu on steps to enroll.</span><br />You must first enroll in the class at Mission before you can enroll in the moodle classroom. Therefore you are being un-enrolled from the moodle class until you can get registered for the class with Admissions.<br />Once you have enrolled in the class, please go to the student information system at http://profj.us/student and copy and paste your registration for the class and email it to Prof J. at abogado@pacbell.net and then you may re-enroll in the moodle classroom.<br />]]></description>
